Cooking for a toddler is different from cooking for adults especially if you are dealing with a picky eater. When my baby started eating solid foods, I got tons of suggestions from experienced parents. One of the suggestion was to make your toddler eat what you eat. But it was not as easy as it may seem.
To motivate a picky eater to eat is not easy but not impossible.
One problem I noted lies in our lifestyle. In our desi lifestyle we are more into spicy foods whereas a baby needs some time to train the taste buds for spices. My toddler does not like spicy food much so I had to go for meals that are not spicy.
This maybe true for some while others like it “hot”. One of the mother of two, told me that her second born loves to eat spicy foods and nothing else.
I tried everything but most of the time she would stop eating after sometime. I felt really depressed. I was at a loss and nothing seems to help.
I start to observe her responses towards different foods. I came to a conclusion that she likes certain things most. So I thought to use it in my favor. I made a list of foods that she likes the most. Now when I cook for her I include on or more ingredients from that list and she is no more a picky eater.
Today I am going to share with you a recipe my toddler has taught me.
Ingredients
Sweet Peas 1/2 cup
Potatoes 1/4 cup
Spaghetti 1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Black Pepper a pinch
Oil/Butter 1 tsp
Recipe
Boil spaghetti and keep it aside. Break the spaghetti into small pieces to make it easy for the child.
Stir fry sweat peas and potatoes in oil or butter for a minute and then add water, salt and black pepper.
Let it cook until tender. Mix it with spaghetti.
It is ready
Alterations: You can use rice/macaroni/noodles instead of spaghetti.
Time Saving tip: Moms are short on time so to make it more easier, boil and freeze sweet peas and potatoes ahead of time.

Hello could I use some of the insight found in this blog if I provide a link back to your site?
yes you can.
I read books for a while but now I changed it to great blogs, your place is one of the examples why I began to pay attention to internet resources. Good luck!
Making food for a toddler can be a bit difficult. Some parents usually have to resort to foods at their most basic level. This is because those young taste buds are not used to various spices and other flavors. Thank you for these great tips for making food for a toddler.
