Tis a month of fathers. I love my mother and father both but after being married and becoming mom of two kids I get to appreciate them more.
Though their love cannot be measured through money but still it is interesting to see how much effort parents put for their kids. In today’s guest post a dad’s worth is described in monetary value.
If you had to give a monetary value to the contributions your father or your partner gave to the family home what would it be? £10,000 or £10?
Well research from both Moneysupermarket.com and insurer Legal & General have worked out how much a father is worth and the results may shock some people.
The average dad spends 50 hours a week on chores and childcare, this equates to an annual financial value of £21,306 or around £410 per week.
Looking across the UK, dads in Wales are the most valuable with an average net worth of £27,300 whilst dads in the East Midlands were least valuable with an average net worth of £18,252.
In many cases, dads are the sole breadwinner for the family and with average male earnings at £29,000 it is important that fathers everywhere, consider how their family would cope without them. A sound life insurance policy will look after your family’s finances once you are gone.
